  1. I hate to admit it, but I’ve never read any Sherlock Holmes books. (My mother was appalled when I told her that recently.) It sounds like y’all are signing lots of great authors!

  2. Congratulations!

‘A Scandal In Bohemia’ is my favourite, I think.

  3. The Adventure of the Speckled Band is a favorite, as is Silver Blaze. I really need to go back and reread them all. I was given the complete set of Sherlock as a 12-yr old recovering from a surgery, and they made my recuperation much more pleasant. I am really curious to read the new book; my sons and I enjoy Anthony Horowitz’s books.

  4. I am completely geeking out about this news. I discovered Holmes when I was 11 and read the entire canon that summer. Since then, I’ve picked up almost every book I’ve seen that features Holmes, even if some have turned out to be…disappointing. So, to have a new novel with the endorsement of the Conan Doyle estate?? I cannot wait ’til November!!

  5. “The Cooper Beeches” is one of my favorites of the stories. Love all the Wilkie Collins influence in that story. But The Hound of the Baskervilles will always my all-time favorite Holmes adventure.

Horwitz knows how to plot! His love for the traditional detective novel is evident in everything he does for the gerne. You couldn’t ask for a better writer to add another adventure of the brilliant detectiveto the Canon. This is one I look forward to – definitely will be one of the NEW STUFF books I’ll review for my blog in the fall.
